David and I headed up to Tahoe National Forest for a quick overnight to Penner Lake. It is a really short hike in and out (~3 miles at the most), meaning we got there early. Dave hiked around the lake and explored the surrounding hills while I grabbed my book, a journal, and settled in at the lake’s edge for a much needed relaxing afternoon of doing nothing.
