Ooh, what a lovely tea party

Huntington GardensNo hiking for us this weekend. It was a weekend for (in no particular order) soccer, tea, cactus gardens, and rum cake. Dave and I drove down to LA with Jason where we met a group to go to the US Men's National Soccer Team game vs. Denmark. We won, 3-1, and although the performance was nothing spectacular it looked better than anything we did at the World Cup.

On Sunday we visited the Huntington Gardens for an English Tea Brunch followed by a meander through the Japanese and Cactus gardens. It was a lovely day, especially compared to the cold snap we've had in the Bay Area. After the long drive home (listening to the Patriots blow it), the weekend was topped off with some fantastic rum cake provided by Jason's grandparents. Even though we weren't off hiking, it certainly wasn't a bad way to spend a weekend!
