ATT has come to the rescue, and I am once again on the innerweb at high(er) speed. Now I will be (hopefully) able to finish my migration project in short time.

I need to finish up - I have some nice photos to share from recent dayhikes. Two weekends ago I did the round trip hike to Palo Corona in Garrapata State Park. Just north of Big Sur, this hike scored a 10 on the scenery scale (plus bonus wildflowers!) and it wasn’t easy, either! Just how I like ‘em. This past weekend I did the killer Mt Sizer loop in Henry Coe. The loop took me from HQ through Poverty Flat, up Blue Ridge, then roller coastered over a few more ridges before spitting my battered body back out at HQ, nearly 17 miles and 5000 feet later.

I think I’ll have to take it easy this coming weekend. The Garrapata hike left me with a lovely poison oak rash all over my legs, and I’m still feeling that Coe hike two days later. And you know what? I still loved it and don’t regret either hike at all. Even a bad day on the trail beats a good day sitting at work.
